Charlotte
Invisalign tooth straightening and composite bonding
The Issues and Treatment
Charlotte came to see as she was unhappy with her crooked front teeth. She was especially conscious of one of her twisted top front teeth and she had a missing tooth on the upper left front. First of all she came in to see our treatment coordinator for a consultation where we took some photographs and a digital scan.
Charlotte was keen on having her teeth straightened and having talked through some different options we decided to go ahead with Invisalign.
When we came to see her for an examination we discovered that her missing tooth was actually not missing at all but buried in her palate. This made things a bit complicated as it meant that we couldn’t move any of the the teeth that were near to the buried tooth.
To complicate matters even further the bottom teeth were really crowded and so we had to remove one of Charlottes lower front teeth to be able to straighten them.
So Charlotte had roughly a year of Invisalign treatment to get things to where we needed them.
The final piece of the puzzle was to mask the top front teeth that we hadn’t been able to move and make them look straight. We did this with the use of composite bonding after some tooth whitening.
By this time we were rather on the clock as Charlottes wedding was coming upon fast.
We managed to get everything tied up in time and Charlotte was thrilled with the results!
